What is FreeVisits?

FreeVisits is a FREE service that allows website owners to exchange exit-traffic. Basically, when people visit your website, FreeVisits will automatically display another member's website within the FreeVisits network as soon as your visitor leaves your site.  Your own site will also be displayed to visitors that are visiting other member's sites. What is IntelliStitial (TM)?

Intellistitial is an Instititial Ad (basically a pop-up) which utilizes EzerNet's intelligent technology.  Intellistitial allows an advertiser's message/website to appear bigger than life to a web surfer thus maximizing on ad dollars while at the same time protects the web surfer from being irritated by general pop-ups.

Is it FREE to join FreeVisits?

Yes, it's absolutely FREE!

Where do I log in and manage my account?

Go to www.freevisits.com.  At the very top, key in your email and password and hit 'Connect'.  Once logged in, you can create an instance for each of your website/s and also manage stats, campaigns, etc.

What if i lost my password?

Go to www.freevisits.com. Just below the login box, there's a 'Forgot my password' link. Click on this.  You'll be brought to a page which asks for your email address.  We will then email you your password.

What is Free-Banners and how is it related to FreeVisits?

Free-Banners is a service that allows you to exchange banner ads across 150,000 websites.  Both Free-Banners and FreeVisits are properties of EzerNet, and thus, when you joined one, you automatically have access to both.  You can log into either Free-Banners or FreeVisits and you will have access to both member areas for account management.  You can choose to use either one, or both services to promote your website for free.  Most members utilizes both services to maximize on their free website promotion.

The HTML code to place your FreeVisits "Intellistitial code" onto your web site may be obtained with the "Get HTML Code" command in the Control Center of FreeVisits.

Always use a browser and verify any changes you make to your web page.

  1. Plain Text Editors

    Here are directions for inserting your FreeVisits HTML code using a plain text editor:

    1. Start an authoring tool (e.g. Notepad) and Open the source code for your web page.
    2. Copy and Paste* your FreeVisits HTML code and Save the file.
    3. If your web page is on a remote server, upload the changes to the server.

    *Copying is a standard function which almost all Windows and Mac applications have. To Copy, highlight the text using the mouse and choose Edit from the menu bar at the top and then select Copy (Ctrl C). To Paste, place the cursor where you want to begin the FreeVisits HTML code and select Edit then select Paste (Ctrl V).

    If you are having problems with submitting your changes, perhaps you are having permissions problems. Check with your system administrator for help with updating your web page.


  2. Netscape Composer

    Here are directions for inserting your FreeVisits HTML code using Netscape Composer:

    1. On the menu bar, choose Edit | Preferences
    2. Choose Composer | Publishing
    3. Uncheck Maintain links and Keep images with page
    4. Click OK
    5. On the menu bar, choose Insert | HTML Tag
    6. Paste* the FreeVisits HTML code exactly as it was given to you.

      IMPORTANT! Make sure the cursor is flush against the end of the FreeVisits HTML code with no spaces or linebreaks. This editor is extremely picky. If the cursor is not flush against the end of the FreeVisits HTML code, you'll get a Premature close of tag error message.

    7. Click OK

    That's it. You should see a yellow link symbol appear. If you preview the page, you should see the form. If you are using Netscape to publish your site, please remember to click Select None under Publish.

    Here are directions for inserting your FreeVisits HTML code using Netscape Gold:

    1. On the menu bar, choose Options | Editor Preferences
    2. Click the Publish tab
    3. Uncheck Maintain links and Keep images with page
    4. Click OK
    5. On the menu bar, choose Insert | HTML Tag
    6. Paste* the FreeVisits HTML code exactly as it was given to you.

    1. Go to Personal Publisher
    2. Select Edit Page
    3. Click the HTML button on the Add Contents Box.
    4. Paste* the FreeVisits HTML code into the Free-From HTML box.
    5. Click OK
    6. Then click on View
    7. Finally click on Publish after you see the form.

    Remember that you can always revert to the backup file if your page becomes too messed up to handle.

  8. Web TV
